Ollie Wit is the strongest Shadow Walker born in decades but it’s a gift with a steep price.
Walking in the Shadowlands can bring untold powers and spells, and even greater risks. Every step into that other world brings her closer to the monsters that have haunted her since a child, destroyed her family and wreaked havoc all around her.
Kane knows Ollie is the key to getting the spell he needs and he’s the answer to ending her torment. But it’s a bargain that brings her closer to her own destruction. Even if she succeeds, will she be able to walk away from the newfound power that comes with walking in the Shadowlands?

Where do you get the inspiration for your books?
I like exploring what I think people might do in different situations or what I would want them to do in a situation. I like believing people can overcome horrible situations and become larger than life. That no matter how bad things get, there’s a survivor deep down in all of us.2. Which of your characters was the most fun to write and why?
The Karma books had some of my favorite characters to write. I loved the Jinxes. They were just so obnoxious that they made me laugh whenever I wrote them.3. Which of your characters was the biggest pain in your butt and why?
I can’t say that I’ve ever written a character that bothered me that much. I know I’ve written characters that bother other people a lot! I think that’s what happens when you like starting with very flawed characters.
4. What are some of your most anticipated reads of 2017?
Well, I already got to read one of them, Feversong. I love the way Karen Moning writes. Now I’m waiting for White Hot by Ilona Andrews. Further off in the future, I’m very excited for High Voltage in 2018. Dani finally gets her own book again!
5. If you could build your dream author panel, who would be on it with you?
Karen Moning would speak on impactful words. Anne Bishop would talk about character development. Bishop rocks character development. Ilona Andrews would cover plot development. Her plots are always perfect.
6. If looked under your bed right now, what would we find?
I’ve given up reading hard copy books but I can’t seem to part with all of them so I hide boxes of overflow that I can’t cram into the bookcases. I’ve also got three dictionaries under there. You know, those really big ones that you can use in place of cinderblocks?7. If we had an author talent show, what would your talent be?
I hate being in the spotlight so it would be torture. I do love arts of all kinds so I could send a project instead. I love to paint although I haven’t done it much lately. I’ve also dabbled in sculpting, stained glass, needle felting… I’m not sure there is an arts and crafts I haven’t dabbled in.
