{Review+Giveaway} Life in the Danger Zone by @patriciabtighe @swoonromance

{Review+Giveaway} Life in the Danger Zone by @patriciabtighe @swoonromance

Life in the Danger Zone is the third book in the Zone series, by Patricia B. Tighe. The Zone series are each young adult standalone novels told in dual narrative. While you can read these books by themselves, if you are given the chance, I think it would be nice to read them in order. They follow a group of high school friends, and I liked both the first book (Life in the No Dating Zone) and the second book (Life in the Lucky Zone) in the series. The writing in the Zone series is very solid, and the romance will grow on you just as much as the characters will. I think this third installment is my favorite couple yet! Life in the Danger Zone is a story told between Rose and Sam. What I really loved about this book was the fact that it takes place on a cruise. For some reason, I have been really into cruise books, and that might be why Life in the Danger… Read more »

{Review} Stroked Hard by Meghan Quinn @AuthorMegQuinn

{Review} Stroked Hard by Meghan Quinn @AuthorMegQuinn

Stroked Hard is the third book in the a new adult contemporary romance series, Stroked, by Meghan Quinn. I loved the first book, Stroked, a LOT,and then I read Stroked Long and that book LEVELED ME. I love Bodi so hard. It is without a doubt, the best book I have read in 2016. Hands down.  And book two is still the best book I have read in 2016. Which brings me to why this review is hard for me to write. It is really hard to follow up a book that I love so so much with another book in the series featuring a different character that is not Bodi, I was destined to not love it as much. But Stroked Hard is still a really good read. It is just hard to follow up such a perfect book. Even so, I love the Stroked Series so much! Each of the books are excellent in their own regard. I think this is a series that everyone needs to read (especially… Read more »

{Review}The Lost Codex by Heather Lyons @hymheather @InkSlingerPR

Note: I will try my best, but there will probably be some spoilers from the first two books. If you are new to the series, check out my review of The Collectors’ Society HERE and my review of the Hidden Library HERE and my review of The Forgotten Mountain HERE. These books need to be read in order. The Lost Codex is the fourth and final book in the New Adult Fantasy Series, The Collectors’ Society. I was so freakin’ scared to pick up this book because I have loved loved LOVED the first three books so much. I didn’t want the series to end. But fear not Collectors’ Society fans- The Lost Codex is the perfect ending. I don’t know why I am surprised because all of Heather Lyons’ books are pure perfection. I have loved everything about this series, starting with the covers. They are some of my favorite covers for any series. Which is fitting because The Collectors’ Society is ONE OF MY FAVORITE SERIES OF ALL TIME. … Read more »

{Review} Love and Fat-Free Cheese by Crissy Sharp @crissydsharp @SweetwaterBooks

{Review} Love and Fat-Free Cheese by Crissy Sharp @crissydsharp @SweetwaterBooks

“Fat-free cheese is okay–unless you’ve tasted real cheese.” This line always cracks me up. I don’t know what it is about it, but something about the title of this book and starting off your summary with that very true and hilarious line drew me in. I am not afraid to admit that I picked up this book for review just based on that line alone. And I am so happy that I did. Love and Fat-Free Cheese was a hilarious and en aging read. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Cheese lovers will delight over the cheese references, so grab a pizza, or a grilled cheese or a mac and cheese and sit down to enjoy Love and Fat-Free Cheese. (not to mention it has a pretty goo thriller element as well.) Love and Fat-Free Cheese is a romanctic comedy thriller by author Crissy Sharp. Calling a book both a romantic comedy and a thriller feels a little strange to combine, but in this case it really worked. I loved both… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} Breaking Cage by AJ Pryor @ajpryor1

{Review+Giveaway} Breaking Cage by AJ Pryor @ajpryor1

Breaking Cage is a lot of things rolled into one book. First and foremost it is a standalone contemporary sports romance by author A.J. Pryor. But it is also a mystery and suspense story. I think this will have crossover appeal to lots of people. I think both fans of new adult as well as adult romances will enjoy Breaking Cage. I also think that fans of both mysteries and sports romances will enjoy this story, even if you only consider yourself a fan of one or the other. This is my first book by A.J. Pryor and I think she does an excellent job blending the genres together to make a really great story. Breaking Cage is Hannah and Derek’s story. I have really been into reporter stories this year. I think this is a new thing in 2016 because I have been reading tons of new adult newbie reporter stories, where hte main character is trying to land a job or trying to get their first big break… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} Three Simple Words by @AJ_Pine @EntangledSelect

{Review+Giveaway} Three Simple Words by @AJ_Pine @EntangledSelect

Three Simple Words is the third book in the Kingston Ale House series by A.J. Pine. I have not read the first book in the series, but I did really enjoy book two- Six Month Rule. You can easily start off at any book you would like. They are very easy to follow and each book follows a different couple. I have read several books by this author, so I feel like I pretty much know what to expect going in. I know it is going to be a good romance, I know there are going to be flawed, complex characters that make for an interesting read, and I know that there is probably going to be drama thrown in. And I was right on all of the above for the Three Simple Words. I do love a book about a blogger. In this case, Annie is a book/romance blogger on the side of her normal job. I love a book worm as a main character. Maybe it makes it… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} Illusion by @MartinaABoone @simonteen @rivetedlit

Ahh, I can’t believe the Heirs of Watson Island Trilogy is done. I loved Illusion, it might be my favorite book out of all of them, and this was one heck of an ending. The hard part about this trilogy is that with each of the books it is getting harder and harder to write spoiler free reviews. Martina Boone has created such a detail rich world that is so woven is layers and layers of secrets and mysteries that it is almost impossible to say something about book 3 without giving something away. Needless to say, you need to read this series in order. So if you have not read Compulsion or Persuasion yet, stop reading this review right now and go start reading this series. You will love it! I can see this trilogy, appealing to so many different kinds of readers. It will appeal to fans of romance, mystery, as well as fans of creepy/dark books. It is labeled as a southern gothic. I can’t say that… Read more »
