“I was amazed. It’s a roller coaster of fear, suspense, love, and lust all wrapped up into a 5/5 book!” -Valerie, Mamivals Books

You shouldn’t mix business with pleasure.

Yet pleasure seems to be the one and only thing on Charlize’s mind the moment Connor steamrolls into her life. Desperate to save her family company, prove she’s more than a pretty face and worthy of being CEO, pleasure is a distraction she can’t afford.

She doesn’t want a bodyguard, especially not one whose caveman heroics kick her libido into hyperdrive. Surrounded by enemies, she’s not sure if Connor is a man she can trust.

Connor knows better than to get personal with clients. Yet there couldn’t be anything more personal about his feelings for Charlize. He’ll win her trust, preferably one orgasm at a time.

With Connor in her office, her home, driving her to sweet, merciless distraction, there’s only so long Charlize can resist his sexy, dominant brand of protection.

WARNING: This is an Amber Bardan Alpha Romance, featuring one dirty-talking hero obsessed with his heroine, and a Happily Ever After. No cliffhanger.

Note: This book may be unsuitable for people under 17 years of age due to its use of sexual content, drug and alcohol use, and/or violence.

Adult Review

My ThoughtsFor Her Protection: An Alpha Romance is the first book in the Personal Protection series by author Amber A. Bardan. The Personal Protection series is an adult romantic suspense series.I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to follow the rest of the series. For her Protection is told in dual narrative between the two main characters, Charlize and Conner. I love the forced bodyguard trope, which this book follows. It is not a story that I have ever discovered before this year, but I really do enjoy it. For Her Protection is a really good novel in this genre to start with. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. More than I even expected to.

I loved Conner so much. More than I can even describe in this review without getting mushy. I liked Charlize too but Conner was the perfect mix of stubborn and unyielding and sweet and protective for me. I just want to clone him for me. There is a  nice little romance as well as a great little mystery that we get to wrap up in the end of the story.( As a side note, I love little side mysteries that are solved and wrapped up with a nice little bow by the end of the story.)

Bottom line: If you enjoy Bodyguard romances, For Her Protection is one that you definitely need to put on your to be read list. It is a great romance which features compelling characters that stand great on their own but also are great together. I loved watching Conner and Charlize. The romance and chemistry is pretty instant, and their journey and romance is pretty quick but it is really fun and delicious. I loved For Her Protection, and I think you will too if you are looking for a quick and saucy read.

This sounds great. I just added it to my wishlist. I also think I’ll like Connor because stubborn and sweet is right up my alley.
