New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Katee Robert begins a smoking hot new series about the O'Malley family-wealthy, powerful, dangerous and seething with scandal.

Teague O'Malley hates pretty much everything associated with his family's name. And when his father orders him to marry Callista Sheridan to create a "business" alliance, Teague's ready to tell his dad exactly where he can stuff his millions. But then Teague actually meets his new fiancée, sees the bruises on her neck and the fight still left in her big blue eyes, and vows he will do everything in his power to protect her.

Everyone knows the O'Malleys have a dangerous reputation. But Callie wasn't aware just what that meant until she saw Teague, the embodiment of lethal grace and coiled power. His slightest touch sizzles through her. But the closer they get, the more trouble they're in. Because Callie's keeping a dark secret-and what Teague doesn't know could get him killed.

My Thoughts

The Marriage Contract is the first in a new contemporary romance series, called The O’Malleys by author Katee Robert. I have read one of Katee’s books in the past and really enjoyed the steamy romance, so I couldn’t wait to try out her new series. I enjoyed getting to know some of the O’Malleys, and this is a series that I will be keeping my eye on. This series follows the three powerful Boston families- the O’Malleys, the Hallorans, and the Sheridans.

Politics is a main focus on the story in The O’Malleys book one- The Marriage Contract. And as you can guess, when politics are involved, things can get a little intense. And they certainly did in this book. But the intensity was paired really well with a kick ass romance, so no complaints here. The Marriage Contract focuses on a couple from two of the three families. Callie Sheridan and Teague O’Malley. And as you might have guessed, this powerful “marriage” leaves the third family out in the dust. I loved watching the power plays between the members of the families. It was like watching a drama filled movie or tv series.

Both Teague and Callie are intense and strong in their own way. I liked both of them, but my heart melted a little bit more for Teague. Protective guys just make me melt. I can’t help it. And Teague has protectiveness in spades. yum. The Marriage Contract also shows us a good amount of other family members. I can’t wait to hear more about them and their stories in the next book.

Bottom Line: The Marriage Contract is great for fans of steamy political/mafia-esque romances. If you like family dynamics and drama galore, with great characters this is the book for you. Plus the romance is really excellent!

About Katee Robert

New York Times & USA TODAY Bestselling Author

Katee Robert learned to tell stories at her grandpa’s knee. Her favorites then were the rather epic adventures of The Three Bears, but at age twelve she discovered romance novels and never looked back.

Her first novel was an epic fantasy that, God willing, will never see the light of day. From there, she dabbled in YA and horror, before finally finding speculative romance. Because, really, who wouldn’t want to write entire books about the smoking-hot relationships between two people?

She now spends her time—when not lost in Far Reach worlds—playing imaginary games with her wee ones, writing, ogling men, and planning for the inevitable zombie apocalypse.

A book called The Marriage Contract sure sounds intense, but I’m it lives up to it’s name. So annoying when titles and covers don’t properly represent the book. Glad you enjoyed it.
