Hey guys! How has your week been?

Busy busy busy is basically the only word that can describe me lately. I have been running around all over the place and my sunday posts have been pushed off to the side. :/ I know, it makes me sad too. I did have an epic time looking at all the wonderful BEA posts, and I made a decision to finally get off my butt and go to BEA next year. I am so serious I have already put it on my work calendar. It is happening! It will be my first time going to BEA or any book convention in almost 5 years of blogging. It is time!

But since I have skipped the last three sunday posts, that means I have a pretty epic book haul to share! These are the books that I have gotten in the mail and on my kindle in the past month.

I have also been meaning to update my blog to the new Tweak Me v2 and new Ultimate Book Blogger plugin. If you haven’t checked them out yet you should! They are totally amazing! I am going to attempt to update my themes this week and next week.

  1. Linda

Wow so many amazing books! I definitely have to check them out myself! Also, you’re so lucky to have the chance to attend BEA! Great reviews!

    • Michelle @ Book Briefs

I didn’t get to go to BEA this year Linda, but I am for sure going next year! It will be my first time 🙂

And thank you. Its crazy how many books you can accumulate in a month 🙂

  2. Karen Blue

Oh, I am so jealous you got Siren’s Fury! I really want to read that book! Also, I am looking forward to your review for Black Iris. happy reading!

  3. Jessica @ a GREAT read

OOoh very nice! I still need to read Heather Lyons’ books! Heard good things and they sound awesome! I have book 1 in the TBR Mountain of Doom, so hopefully I’ll get to it soon! Hope you enjoy all the lovely new reads!!

    Here’s my STS

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

    • Michelle @ Book Briefs

Jessica, you do need to read the Heather Lyons Series. It is one of my very favorites! And as soon as you do read them, come find me so we can gush!!! You will love them

  4. kimbacaffeinate

Michelle i am going for the first time next year too. It is in Chicago and about 8 hours from me. We will have to meet up! Wow your haul is incredible, it almost looks like you went to BEA..lol

    • Michelle @ Book Briefs

Oh my gosh, yay Kimba! I am super excited about that. Part of the reason I never went in the past was because I was kind of nervous that I wouldn’t know anyone and the people that I have had conversations with, would have no idea who I am. haha but I have gotten over that fear (mostly) but it will be really great to meet you!

And thanks. it is crazy how many books you can accumulate in a month.

  5. Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews

Epic haul indeed, Michelle! But it is a haul for a whole month, so it’s kind of normal, right? There are several books on your list I haven’t heard of before, and others I’ve either read (like Collied, which I really enjoyed!) or are on my kindle already.
I hope you’ll enjoy all of these new additions.
I’ve been looking at plane tickets to Chicago, but it’s really expensive! I went to RT in May this year, and I had such a great time hanging out with fellow bloggers and amazing authors – you are going to love BEA, I’m sure.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

    • Michelle @ Book Briefs

Yea I will need to save a bit for the plane tickets and hotel room, but it is something that I have been wanting to do for a while. Plus Chicago will be a very cool city to visit.

And yes it seems like a ton of books, but I have been accumulating them for a month. Still a lot though. But I have to admit- there are worse problems to have. haha

      When is the next RT?

  6. Lola

I am so excited for you that you will go to BEA next year. I always enjoy seeing the posts about BEA and feeling like I can experience it a bit through other bloggers their posts as it’s unlikely I will ever be able to attend. You certainly have an impressive haul this week! Have a great week and enjoy your new books!

    • Michelle @ Book Briefs

I love looking at all the BEA posts too. I really want to go and experience it for myself, so I figured next year I will. I have plenty of time to get ready haha

Thank you 🙂 It is crazy how many books you can accumulate in a month. But I have to admit- there are worse problems to have. haha

  7. A Voracious Reader

You weren’t kidding about the epic book haul. 😀 I’ve been to Star Trek conventions but no book conventions. I really need to get to one! Have a fantastic week!

    • Michelle @ Book Briefs

Thanks Kathy!I haven’t been to any kind of convention. It seems overwhelming, but overwhemlingly fun. haha

and yes, It is crazy how many books you can accumulate in a month. But I have to admit- there are worse problems to have. haha 🙂

  8. jazmen

Whoa. Talk about a haul. I mean when will you find time to read it all? So. Many. Books. I can’t wait to see what you think of After Hours, and well, all the other books! Have a great week. I’ll be stopping in as usual to check out your reviews this week. 🙂

    • Michelle @ Book Briefs

I have actually read a couple already. haha I have a problem. It is crazy how many books you can accumulate in a month. But I have to admit- there are worse problems to have. haha

      Thanks for stopping by Jazmen!

  9. Deborah

Oh. My. God. What a huge pile of books. I get freaked when half a dozen arrive from publishers in a week… mentally trying to prioritise them into my TBR pile.

I really need to look at the Book Blogger Plugin. I did some time ago and the only thing that worried me was that some blogs using it looked a bit similar and I wasn’t sure how much flexibility / customisation it offered.

    Deb

    • Michelle @ Book Briefs

haha oh I would be freaked if this many books came in one week too! This is my haul from the past month.

The book blogger plugin is great. But the UBB isn’t what makes the blogs look similar, that would be the tweak me theme. But the new one has a TON of customization. YOu can even demo them on ashley’s site and play around with the changes. I spent hours on her site playing around with them before I bought them. And I have to say, it was the single best decision I ever made in my 4+ years of blogging. The amount of time it saves me on my posts is incredible.

You can check out Tweak me and UBB here>

  10. Christy

I have the original Tweek Me theme and love it. An the UBB plugin … I probably would’ve quit blogging if it hadn’t been for it. I was so over formatting posts. And yay for already committing to BEA! 😉 Enjoy your books, Michelle, and have a great week.

  11. Steph

Wow it has been a great month for books for you! I love the cover of Broken Forest, it is beautiful. I hope you enjoy all of your books 🙂
    Steph

  12. Sarah M

    So many great looking books!
I haven’t updated my UBB plugin yet, I downloaded it, just need to install it.

  13. Teresa Mary Rose

Oh man so many pretty books! I loved Black Ice and I hope you do too! Dirty Thoughts is one I really want to read… that cover just begs to be read. Happy reading!
