Make it Count is a book that I have been meaning to read for a long time, but all of those review books fill up my time. But after seeing so many amazing reviews on this one, I was getting anxious to read it. And, when I saw a blog tour for the second book in the Bowler University Series, Make it Right- I had to sign up! So I got a copy of this book and put it on my blog calendar. And boy am I ever glad that I did! It deserves every single one of those glowing reviews! I LOVED Make it Count. It goes on not only my best books of 2014 list, but also on Best New Adult Contemporary Romances ever list.
To start with, I loved the characters. Alec is one of the sweetest guys. I want him all to myself! I was a little nervous when the book started out with Kat dating Alec’s best friend and roommate Max. It made me nervous because I have a hard time getting on the side of some side cheating- even in events of “their one true love”. But I shouldn’t have worried- Megan Erickson handled all of the situations beautifully throughout the book. I didn’t love Max- not that I think we were supposed to- but still. I know the next book is his story, so I can’t wait to see what Megan is going to do with him. After reading how awesome she is with her characters and with romance, I am super excited to see what she is going to do to swing me over to a big Max fan.
One of the things that I loved about Kat and Alec was that the one thing Kat was most ashamed of wasn’t even on Alec’s radar in the way Kat thought it was. She was concerned with appearing stupid because of the way her brain worked and because she was struggling in her class, but Alec was drawn to Kat because he found her witty and charming- anything but stupid. It was so stinkin’ adorable and he made me smile.
Make it Count is a feel good book that you will not be able to put down. This is GREAT new adult contemporary. It has it all- real characters that you will root for, a believable and well done plot and a romance that will make your heart beat faster and put a smile on your face. I couldn’t put this book down. One of my all time favorite New Adult Contemporaries!

Sounds fantastic! I was worried when you mentioned dating best friend, because I’m also not a fan of cheating, but I’m glad that it was handled so well. The characters sound great too! I’ve seen some good reviews already, but it’s finally going on my tbr. Great review 🙂
