This week the question is:
What is the book with an awesome cover that you loved, but then you read the book but didn’t love it?
This was a hard question for me. A lot of books with awesome covers I have enjoyed. So I had to do a lot of thinking for this one. but I think I finally have the answer!
The Pretty in Black Series by Rae Hachton. Here are the covers.
I especially like the first cover. The cover is just perfect for the tone of the book. It is dark and gothic but still pretty. I liked the first book a little more than the second book. My main problem with the books were no development. The pacing was very fast and it didn’t leave much room details and for me the details make the story. They make it believable and they make you fall in love with the characters. I just didn’t really care to get to know them, which is a problem for me.
What book did you think you were going to love based on the cover but then the story fell short of the cover’s awesomeness for you? Let me know! ๐

I’m not actually so keen on these covers – and I hadn’t heard of the books until now, but maybe I’ll leave them!
Happy friday!
My FF this week
I never heard of these books before and the covers aren’t eye-catching enough for me to get them. I know! How bad of me! ๐ But, I’am curious!

Oh gosh I have been sucked in by those cover whore books too many times to count. I couldn’t begin to relate the disappointments. I was just reminded of one on another blog and a series that totally sucked for me was Madly by M. Leighton!
I like those covers. They are interesting and different than most books. Pity about the actual story.
My follow friday. Please visit!
Haven’t heard of that one! Cover looks intriguing too! Bummer that it wasn’t a good read.
Here’s my Friday Hops

Interesting cover. I will admit to being one of those people who occasionally buys books just for the cover. And at the library- because I can borrow books for free- I will get books without reading the description because I’m in love with the cover. To say nothing about the state of my TBR list.
Thanks for following and visiting my FF. I hope I’m following you through GFC.
Nice picks. I hate when a book doesn’t live up to its cover!

Those are great book covers! I really did like the premise for the first book but haven’t read it. That’s too bad about the lack of character development!
