Summer Wrap- up Read-a-thon starting line! #SWUR

Posted August 5, 2012 by Michelle @ Book Briefs in Uncategorized / 13 Comments

I have this weakness for read-a-thon. I never want to miss out on them. This looks like a super epic one hosted by Jennifer @Some Like It Paranormal and Jude @ In Between Reading and Writingare hosting The Summer Wrap Up Read~A~Thon!

Because I signed up for two other august events. I am going to use part of my list for this read-a-thon. I will be finishing up my last week of work for most of the read-a-thon so I won’t be able to read as much as I can.

Here are the list of the books so I can keep track of them:
  1. dirty blood by Heather Hildebrand (read 8/5)
  2. Glitch by Heather Anastasiu (currently reading)
  3. Never Say Never by Kailin Gow
  4. The Weight of Night by C. L. Stengall
  5. Beautifully Broken by Sherry Soule
  6. Great Aunt Sophia’s lessons for Bombshells by Lisa Cach
  7. The Forsaken by Lisa Stasse

Challenges:

The hotter than summer challenge. Hosted by A Book Lovers review- found HERE

So for my Hotter Than Summer Challenge there are a few good contenders. Wes from Dirty Blood almost took the gold for me but he was beaten out by….

Cage from While it Lasts by Abbi Glines!
My Rating:
Why:
Boy oh boy, do I love Cage. (and Abbi Glines for always creating the best guys) Cage is super hot, and has an affinity for going shirtless. Yum! Plus he is protective and has such a good heart once you give him a chance. He is just the perfect hotter than summer guy.

Updates:

What do you think? Have you read any of these books?

Show me your read-a-thon piles!

  1. Great goals! Ever since I saw the trailer for The Forsaken I’ve wanted to read the book! Also, I just read Glitch a couple of days ago and enjoyed it quite a lot – hope you’ll like it, too!

  2. I have not read any of those, but they look like some I should check out! I can’t pass up a read-a-thon either, I’m a total addict now! Here is my Update Post and my TBR Pile that I’ve picked for the read-a-thon, no way will I get through them all, but I’m such a mood reader I need a wide selection to choose from!

    Good Luck and good reading!

  3. I bought Dirty Blood like a year ago and still need to read that! I also want to read Glitch and really curious about The Forsaken. I also Love read-a-thons!
Thanks so much for joining us! Happy reading and good luck on your goals!

  4. Great picks! Hope u r enjoying it 🙂 I’m a sucker for a readathon too hehe. That cover for the weight of the night freaks me out with the white background and black eyes…ekk lol happy reading x I’m loving the challenges too 🙂 x

  5. I really need to jump on this read-a-thon bandwagon. What better way to challenge myself than this!? Guess it’s time to start watching less TV and do what I really enjoy. Oh, darn! 🙂
