June wrap up + July TBR
ok so I am going to try something new here on Book Briefs.(even though I am almost halfway through July. Oops!) I have seen them around other blogs and I think it is a great idea. Plus, all this time spent on pinterest has made me want to try and become more organized. So these monthly posts are going to do a few things for me. (hopefully!)
1. Keep me on track for the next month, with my TBR pile
2. Hopefully, it will keep me accountable for my own operation TBR reduction. I will only be counting review books towards this (so no free amazon books, no gift or won books- just straight review requests) I really need to get my review pile under control. No matter how hard I try, it just keeps getting bigger.
so my goal here is to read 3 times as many books as I get for review. That should be a good start to reducing my review pile.
3. will be  nice monthly wrap up for the posts that I have here at Book Briefs.
question!** I am going to include book reviews, discussions and open giveaways in my monthly wrap ups, would you also like to see interviews, author posts and excerpts here too?
June Wrap up
This summer is just flying by for me! I am mostly on top of things but I have been slacking a little with my emails and comments. Does anyone have a spare time turner I can borrow? Anyone? So I was a little short on reading time this month. I wish I could say July would be wide open for reading and relaxing but I’m not sure that it will be. Im still working at the law firm for the summer and I have another business trip for a legislative update for the Florida Bar. Let me tell you, this growing up thing is a lot of work!
But I participated in a lot of blog tours so the blog was full of excerpts, reviews, giveaways and guest posts all month long. Want to see what was going on?
Books I read in June
  1. Undertow by Callie Kingston (Review)
  2. Angel Eyes  by Shannon Dittemore (Review)
  3. The Warlock by Deborah Lightfoot (Review)
  4. Knee Deep by Jolene Perry (Review)
  5. Masquerade by Cambria Hebert (Review)
  6. Charade by Cambria Hebert (Review)

Not good people! 14 books for review still to read. That means that I am starting my TBR reduction at a +3! That is the opposite direction that I want to go. But I guess it is just a starting point.
July TBR and Goals
For July, since I am already starting at a deficit, I would like to make my goal to end the month at a -3. I think I can do that if I really limit my review books and work on reading my way through the pile I have

  3. Lonely Souls by Karice Bolton
  4. Fall for You by Cecilia Grey

I think it’s great to do wrap ups. 🙂 I used to do them but now I just add everything in my weekly update instead. You accomplished a lot in June! Great job! 😀 As for the question, I say post anything and everything you think should be in a wrap up. 🙂

Oh my…you read eleven books in june? And were behind on your reading??? You are a crazy person 🙂 But the crazy person had a wonderful idea doing wrap-uos – gives everything a lot more structure! I love wrap-ups! (Does that make me a crazy person, too?)
