Hey guys! How have you been? I can’t believe April  is already half way over. Time is just flying by. I haven’t done a weekly wrap up in almost 2 months because I have been really cutting back on review books so I just haven’t had much to share with you, and I have been super busy with moving over to wordpress.
So here is what I have gotten for review in the past month or so. Way less than I normally do, which is great! I have been trying to get that review pile wayyy down. bluedivider

Books I got this week:

*Thank you so much to Entangled Teen, Muse it Up Publishing, Bermingham Books, Entangled Embrace, and all of the authors for these awesome books! *

Happy blogoversary ! Your dogs are very cute, it’s a nice change because usually, when it comes to books, we see a lot of cats around 😉 Have a great week !

  2. Bea @Bea's Book Nook

Oh, I didn’t realize Julie had a new book out. I liked her 1st YA book, Pretty Souls, but sadly she has moved away, in both of her author identities, from UF and into contemporary romance.

Congrats on your three year blog anniversary. *throws confetti* Enjoy and happy reading!

  3. April Books & Wine

Fall With Me looks really good. Gotta love New Adult! At least, it looks like a new adult book.

Updating review archives is the worst, I keep putting off updating my old reviews. Ah well.

    Happy reading!

  4. April @ My Shelf Confessions

Congratz on your move to WP *highfive* I remember we discussed that awhile back that you were thinking of making the leap! I’m so glad you did ! The blog design is wonderful! And isn’t WordPress so much more easier than Blogger is now?! 😀 Once you come to this side there’s no going back! 😀

I’ve been a lot more stricter with my review books this year too – I want more time for fun books and just random books I want to read at any time and not feel *obligated* to review them unless I want to. It’s really given me a ton of momentum this year! So rock on too!

    • Michelle @ Book Briefs

Yea, creative whim had an awesome promotion for her new book host service so I just went for it! I have been loving it so much.

And the review books slow down has been really helpful for me too. I still have way too many books on my TBR, but I am down to 0-1 book a week instead of 6-7 books a week sometimes. It was too much. And now I feel better about reading whichever new releases, old releases or indies that I want.

  5. Amanda @ Book Badger

You’ve been a busy lady Michelle! I couldn’t imagine having to move everything, it must be so stressful, but good luck! I need to chip down my review pile too, but I’m getting there, slowly.. hopefully this month will chip it well! Hope you have a fantastic week! 😀

  6. Natalie

I am looking forward to your Fire & Flood review, I am publishing mine this week too. I loved it, it was so much fun. Are her Dante Walker books as much fun? they look sexier 😉

  7. Tressa @ Tressa's Wishful Endings

You added some great books this week and have some fun things coming up. Congrats on three years!!! I’ve been debating about switching to WordPress. It seems like almost everyone eventually switches. Thanks for stopping by!

    • Michelle @ Book Briefs

I really am glad that I switched. There are a lot more options on wordpress, but the ultimate book blogger plugin makes it almost worth it alone. It is the most amazing thing ever!

  8. Lola

Moving to wordpress can be a bit stressful at first, but it’s really worth it in the end. I am still so happy I made the switch. Make sure to install some good security plugins. Your new site is looking great 🙂 and congrats on the 3 year blogoversary!

  9. Kristin @ My ParaHangover

OMGOSH!!! You went and got even more beautiful!!! I lurve your WP look!!!

For SEO, I would do what Kim said, use the plug in, “WordPress SEO” (by Yoast) and make sure your little “light” (you’ll see what we’re talking about) is green. If you want some background, go to the Bloggiesta website and search for their SEO challenges. Or I Google’d some good articles, too 🙂

Happy 3 year bloggiversary, too!!!! HOLY COW!! I bow to your greatness!!! YAY!!!!

    • Michelle @ Book Briefs

Awh thanks Kristin! You are too nice. I have installed the Yoast SEO plugin, and am working on green lighting all my posts. Hopefully I will be all done in a week or two 🙂

    • Michelle @ Book Briefs

You laugh, but I am continually surprised by how fast time is going. Sometimes I do look up and its the next month and I didn’t even realize. haha! Thanks for stopping by Sophia 🙂

  10. Michelle @ In Libris Veritas

I have no idea what to do about SEO…in fact I don’t even bother with it. I don’t think I need to until I host my own site. I wish you the best of luck with it!
I haven’t heard of most of your new books so I’m off to goodreads to check them out! I hope you have a lovely week

    • Michelle @ Book Briefs

Yea, I wouldn’t even worry about SEO until you self host. And from what I have heard, most people don’t really understand it but there are plugins that can help so I am just relying on those at the moment. haha.

      Thanks for stopping by 🙂

  11. Lindy@ A Bookish Escape

Great Haul!!! I’m so excited to read Warrior! I loved the Collector and Liberator!!! Also, I just started reading Fall With Me 🙂 Bound and Gilded Destiny look like great reads also! Have a great week!!!

  12. Tanja

I should start that series by Victoria Scott already! I keep hearing some amazing things about Dante 🙂 Also happy blogoversary! Our blogs are the same age 😉
    Thanks for stopping by 🙂

  13. Melissa (My World...in words and pages)

Ooo, you have a few new to me books there. I’m going to have to go look into them and see what I find. 🙂 Thank you!

    Congrats on three years! 😀

Thank you for stopping by and following. 🙂 I’m following you too!

Hope you have a great week and enjoy your new reads when you get to them. 🙂

      • Melissa (My World...in words and pages)

Thank you Michelle. Always love finding book lovers to chat and share with. 🙂 Glad you are enjoying my blog as well. 🙂 Looking forward to reading many, many posts! 🙂

  14. Annette

Congrats on the Anniversary. I’m not familiar with most of your new books. I’ll have to check them out. Thanks for visiting!

    • Michelle @ Book Briefs

No way can I do them all at once Nereyda, but I really want my review archives to be up to date so I am slowly going through them. A couple of pages of posts a day is doable for me. (most days. haha)

  15. Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews

Congrats on your move to WordPress, Michelle! I know it’s a lot of work, but I’m pretty sure you’ll be really happy once you have everything lined up the way you want it to be.

Also congratulations on your three year blogoversary, that’s awesome 🙂 I’ll go check out your giveaway in a few.

You have some really nice-looking books in your haul, I hope you’ll enjoy them all.

  16. Jessica S.

Oh my goodness! I’m working on a blog clean up myself with reviews and links and everything. It’s a slow process. I kept putting it off because I didn’t think I wanted to bother but I want to make sure old posts look good and everything is uniform. Enjoy all your new books!! 😀

  17. The (YA) Bookcase

I haven’t heard of many of these, so I’m interested in learning more about them. It looks like you have a well-rounded selection. Enjoy!! (also, what a pretty blog you have!)

    • Michelle @ Book Briefs

Thank you! I like to try and circulate to all of the genres that I enjoy. Sometimes I get in a mood for reading one type though and I get little contemporary streaks or paranormal streaks going though. It all depends.

      Thanks for stopping by!

  18. Maria Behar

Oh, Michelle, I’m SO glad to have found your blog! I see you have a LOT of activities going on all the time! You got some TERRIFIC books this week, and also have so many reviews! WOW. And then there’s your giveaway!! I can’t believe you’re actually giving so many books away!!! I don’t think I’d be able to part with my own treasures, even though I have tons and tons of books!!

Well, again, nice to meet you, and thanks for dropping by and commenting on my WOW this week!! : )

    • Michelle @ Book Briefs

      Thanks Maria!

I am super excited you found my blog too. Good luck on the giveaway! It was time to clean out my shelves, and what better way to celebrate my 3 three years on the blog than by sharing the book love!

  19. Camille @ Girl meets Books

I wish you all the best in your move to WordPress. I heard it’s a huge task especially if you’re moving to a self-hosted sites. I have zero knowledge about the technical aspects of blog design and all that LOL 🙂

Congrats on your 3rd Blogoversary! 🙂

  20. vvb

ooo, Only With You has caught my eye, being a Jane fan. gotta check it out. and a happy blogoversary to you!
